Betty Irene Ogden

Mrs. Betty Irene Dutton Ogden, age 87, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Gallatin Healthcare. Born August 6, 1926, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Opal Jackson Haven. Also preceding her in death were her husband Jack and siblings, Jim, Jack, Duane, Frank and Deliah. Mrs. Ogden retired from Dairy Queen at the age of 82 and was one of the original employees when the restaurant opened as Druther's. She was also a member of the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Pat (Jerry) Smoot of Frankfort; her sons, Jackie (Becky) Ogden of Owenton and Scott (Becky) Ogden of Monterey; her brother, David Haven of Hermiston, Oregon; six grandchildren, Shannon (Brian) Steed, Michael (Elizabeth) Smoot, Brandon (Billie) Ogden, Shelby, Trace and Connor Ogden; seven great grandchildren, Laine, Grant, Quinn, Kallista, Jackson, Hayden and Hayley. A special cousin, Darlene Stillwell also survives. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held 1pm Thursday at the funeral home with Bro. Jeremy Warren and Bro. Dale Adkins presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Gallatin Healthcare, 499 Center Ave, Warsaw, KY 41095.
