Betty June Lusby

Betty June Lusby, age 87, of Owenton, passed away on Christmas Day at her home following an illness.

Born September 9, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Robert English and Harriett Bourne Gayle. She was the widow of Charlie Lusby and was preceded in death by her grandson, Dillon Lusby. Betty was a member of the New Liberty Christian Church, enjoyed sharing her stories with others and loved animals.

Betty is survived by her sons,  Tommy Lusby and Bobby Lusby; her granddaughter Elizabeth Lusby and her great grandchildren, Kaden Lusby and Sawyer Halbrendt.  Her cousin, John Gayle, also survives.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street funeral home on Sunday, December 29th from 1 - 3 pm. Funeral services will follow at 3 pm with Bro. Jim Wood presiding. A private family burial will be Monday in the Owenton Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Owen County Friends of Animals.
