Betty Jean Deatherage

Betty Jean Deatherage, 83 and a resident of Carrollton, passed away Sunday, July 17th, at the Green Valley Healthcare Center in Carrollton. Born January 1928, She was the daughter of the late Everett and Nell Robinson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Deatherage as well as three brothers and three sisters. Betty is survived by four sons: Doug Robinson of Owenton, Gary “Jigs” Robinson of Warsaw, Mark Shelton of Florence and Bill Deatherage of Louisville and one sister, Carol Shell of Kenton County. Nine grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 20th, from 9am until 11am at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw. Funeral services will begin Wednesday at 11am. Rev. Hardin Lowe and Rev. Tim Scott will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Floral Hills Cemetery in Taylor Mill, Ky. Memorial Contributions are suggested to the Association for the Blind.
