Betty Jean Clark

Betty Jean Clark, age 78, of Owen County, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

Born February 24, 1943, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Carl Robert and Mary Hawkins Stivers. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jackie Goldsberry and Waldo Clark as well as her siblings Lou Ann Maiden and Donald Stivers. Betty was a homemaker and a member of the Squireville Baptist Church.  She was a former volunteer for the Owen County Clothing Center and loved riding horses with her family.  She was a beloved aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her sisters, Daphna Maiden, Lorena Wilder, Jerri Gibson, Judy Montfort, and Lois Dougherty as well as many nieces and nephews.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  A graveside service will be held at 1pm Saturday in the Owenton Cemetery.  Please meet at the Main Street location, at 12:30 to go in procession to the cemetery. Bro. Craig Howard will preside and memorial contributions may be made to the Squiresville Baptist Church.
