Bert Wooten

Bert Wooten, age 80, of Owenton, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Hospital-Ft. Thomas.

Born November 5, 1940 to the late Boyd and Nellie Witt Wooten. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Susie Henderson. Bert was retired from the Owen County road department. Bert loved to hunt, talking and working on CB radios, trading and bargaining with his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Brenda Joyce Burford Wooten; his children, Allen Wooten of Chesapeake, VA, Jackie Wooten of Dry Ridge, KY, Steve Wooten of Milton, Ky, a sister, Ann Jolly,  10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main street location on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 12 PM to 2 PM with the funeral to follow at 2PM with Bro. David 'Milkweed' Wotier presiding. Memorial contributions can be made to the D.A.V.
