Ben Trusty

BN “Ben” Trusty, age 76, of New Liberty, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2011 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Florence. Born January 9, 1935, in Magoffin County, he was the son of the late Edgar and Lizzie Walters Trusty and was preceded in death by his sister, Lucille Riddle. Ben was an independent Electrical Inspector and a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church. He also owned and operated Trusty’s General store, in New Liberty, for 35 years. Surviving are his wife of 57 years. Juanita Farrar Trusty; his sons, Darrell Trusty of New Liberty and Jimmy Trusty of Crittenden; his daughter, Patricia Trusty of new Liberty; two brothers, Ron Trusty of Wilmington, OH and Donnie Trusty of Carlisle, OH; four sisters, Peggy Ledford of Mt. Sterling; Juanita Wyatt of Carlisle, OH; Anna Barkalow of Middletown, OH and Delores Jean Ruiz of Richmond. Seven grandchildren, Jeremy Bourne, Jared Bethel, Brian Trusty, Jennifer Isaacs, Justin Trusty, Makenze Trusty and Nicolas Caudill and three great grandchildren, Dylan & Leigha Isaacs and Tate Simmons also survive. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location of McDonald & New Funeral Homes on Friday, May 20, 2011 from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, with Bro. Emory Eldrige presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made the American Kidney Fund.
