Ben Thompson

Ben F. Thompson, an Owenton resident, passed away Friday at the Harborside Healthcare at the age of 102. He was born in Owen County the son of the late Robert and Martha Jenkins Thompson. He was preceded in death by his wife Minnie Mae Rice Thompson, a son J. B. Thompson and five sisters: Nettie Layton, Sadie Morgan, Virgie Morgan, Lula McCormick and Bertha Corman. He is survived by his son Carl and wife Donna Thompson, a granddaughter Jennifer and husband Tony Elliott and a great grandson Jaden Elliott all of Frankfort. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location, Monday December 15th, from 10 - 1. Funeral services will be held at 1pm Monday, with Bro. David Wotier officiating. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
