Becky Jane Mason

April 24, 1956 — November 30, 2023

Becky Jane Mason, 67 of Owenton, Kentucky, died peacefully at St. Elizabeth Edgewood SICU surrounded by her siblings and other family members on November 30, 2023. Becky was born to Lewis and Velma Mason on April 24, 1956 at Owen County Memorial Hospital. She lived in Owen County all her life, graduating in 1975 from Owen County High School. Although she hadn't been able to attend physically in over 20 years, she was a member of Lusby's Mill Baptist Church where she accepted Christ at an early age. Becky never faltered or strayed from her faith which sustained her when her father, mother, and older sister, Bobbye Ann Mason Bowling, all preceded her in death. Becky had resided at Owenton Center (Manor) since May of 2004. Becky will be remembered for her love of people, outgoing personality, incredible long-term memory, and her resiliency despite whatever life threw her way. She is survived by her brother Jim (Janie) Mason, sister Susan (Darryl) Traylor, brother-in-law David Bowling, nephews Steve (Amy-Beth) Mason, John Mason, Kerry (Lyndsay) Sipple, Blake (Lindsey) Traylor, nieces Shelli (Derris) Hedger and Brooke (Robert) Kapfhammer; and great nieces and nephews Ruthie (Zach) Rushing, Clare Mason, John-Michael Mason, Kortney Sipple, Mikayla (Scott) Wainscott, Caden Hedger, Maison Hedger, Blakely Kapfhammer and Delilah Kapfhammer. Becky's visitation will be at New Funeral Home, Main Street location, from 11-1 with her funeral at 1:00 on Monday, December 4th with Bro. Brad Banks presiding. In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations in her memory to be made to Owenton Center Activity Fund or Lusby's Mill Baptist Church.
