Barbara Alice Renfro

Barbara Alice Boothby Renfro, 92, of Owenton died early Sunday morning at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. Barbara was a member 0f the Richland Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late George and Rhoda Margaret Green Boothby. She was the wife of the late Hogan Hill and Velmar Renfro. Also preceding her in death were three sons; Wiiliam “Red” Renfro, Leonard Renfro, and Phillip Renfro. Also several brothers and sisters. Survivors include her sons: Johnnie Hill of New Liberty, Velmar Jr. “Bumper” Renfro of Owenton, Marty Renfro of Owenton, Don Renfro of Owenton. And Jackie Renfro of Grant County. Daughters; Sarah McCormick of Owenton, Fannie B. Dews of Cincinnati, Jane Ellen Marsh of Owenton, Faye Swiger of Frankfort, Rosa Juett of Owenton, Shirley Moore of Owenton, Barbara Wainscott of Owenton, and Roxanne Bennett of Owenton. One Sister: Lucille Heaton of Georgia. Also surviving are 25 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, at 1pm at the McDonald and New Funeral Home on Main Street. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8pm. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Donations may be made to the March of Dimes.
