Arthur Jones

Arthur Jones, age 86, of Owenton, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Hospital at Edgewood.

Born August 13, 1935, in New Columbus, he was the son of the late Joe Virgil and Lura Wright Jones. He was also preceded in death by his lifelong partner, Dorothy House Jones; his daughter, Diana Jones; his siblings, Jr. Jones and Wilburn Jones. Arthur was lifelong farmer and worked for over 50 years at the Loose Leaf Tobacco Warehouse in Lexington. He also enjoyed woodworking and loved attending horse pulls.

He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Giles; his grandson, Brandon (Jamie) Webster; his great0grandchildren, AJ, Jase, DJ and EJ; his siblings, Darlene (Larry) Dews, Roy (Kathy) Jones.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main street location on Monday, September 27, 2021, from 11 AM - 1 PM. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM. Burial will follow at the Owenton Cemetery. We respectfully respect that masks be worn for all services.
