Annie Barrett

Annie Barrett, age 65, of Owenton, passed away Friday, July 28, 2017 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital.Born February 22, 1952, in Yeager, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Aldie and Glenis Meadows Collins and was raised by the late Fred and Gladys Meadows.  Annie was the widow of Robert Barrett and was preceded in death by her sisters, Ellen Noel and Helen Fain.  She was a retired housekeeper for St. Jospeh Hospital.Surviving are her children, Robert Gilliam, Brenda Beverly, Glenis Sandlen, Crystal Corns and Steve Barrett; her grandchildren, Kimi & Johnathan Gentry and Paul and Geraldine Beverly; her sister, Diana Ross and her aunts Laura Blanton, Kay (Lewis) Workman and Ernestine Russell.  She is also survived by a host of extended family.McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  A graveside service will be held at 11am Tuesday, August 8, 2017 in the Owenton Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to McDonald & New Funeral Homes in care of the family.
