Anna K. Cook

Anna K. Cook, 63, of Owenton, died Friday, September 11, 2009 at the UK Chandler Medical Center in Lexington. Born June 17, 1946, in Shelbyville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Frank Beard Greenwell and Lena Mae Goodlett Guill and was preceded in death by her great grandsons, Justin Kent Renfro and Jacob Renfro. Anna was a homemaker, a member of Greenup Fork Baptist Church and attended Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Dewey Cook; 2 sons, Robert W. (Tonya) Cook of Elk Lake, Christopher (Tanya) Cook of Paris; 3 daughters, Lisa (Marty) Renfro of Owenton, Angela Noe of Owenton, Stephanie (Eddie) Coubert of Frankfort; 2 brothers, Larry (Norma) Greenwell of Glencoe and Irvin (Pat) Greenwell of Frankfort; 7 sisters, Barbara (Jimmie) Lewis of Frankfort, Frankie (Marvin) Adams of Frankfort, Peggy (Allen) Wright of Crittenden, Betty (Richard) Dews of Frankfort, Linda Mae (David)Whittle of Crittenden, Cindy (Charlie)Austin of Frankfort and Teresa (Moochie) Wright of Owenton , 12 grandchildren Leeann, Heather, Leonard and Joyce Ann Renfro, Bethany Sallee, Timothy Cox, Jr., Kayla Coubert, Alexis Faith, Taylor Micelle, Desiree, Cheyenne and Destiny Cook and 11 great grandchildren also survive. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Visitation will be held at the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church on Monday, September 14, 2009 from 11 am until 2 pm. Funeral services will follow at 2pm with Bro. David “Milkweed” Wotier officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
