Ann Keith Cook

July 4, 1926 — September 29, 2022

Ann Keith Cook, age 96, of Owenton, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Baptist Healthcare in Lexington.

Born July 4, 1926, in Owen County, she was lovingly known to all of us as Boo. She was the widow of the late John L Cook Jr., who she married on January 1, 1951. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Joyce Moscoe Keith. She was the last living sibling to her brothers and sisters; Francis House, Calvin Keith, Walter Keith , J W Keith, Marion Cook, and Margaret Hammond.  Ann was a member of Richland Baptist Church, a loving caregiver to many, and a devoted mother to those she called her own.

She will be dearly missed by her only daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Danny Gortney;  granddaughter and grandson, Kara and Nathan Carter, and grandson, Gabe Gortney (Alison); great granddaughters Hayden Brooke Carter and Maddax Gortney; great grandson Gannon Gortney. As well as a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Monday, October 3, 2022 from 10 am until the time of the service at 2 pm. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Monterey Cemetery.
