Anita Toole

Anita Toole, 82, of Owenton, passed away Monday August 1, 2022 in Louisville.

She was born in Carroll County the daughter of the late Joseph and Hettie Marksberry Kemper. She was married to the late Harold Toole who passed away in 1974. She graduated from Owen County High and soon started what would be a 22 year job working for Dr. Bowling. She started at the Commonwealth of Kentucky after that in disability determination, where she retired. You could always find her on the bleachers or in the gym at a ballgame for one of her children and later her grandchildren. She was one of the first female assistant little league baseball coaches. Some of her favorite things were her flowers, going to the beach, and houseboat trips.

She is survived by her children, Harold Todd (Cathy) Toole, Bryan Scot "Begie" (Shonna) Toole and Tina Jolette Toole-Harper (Jim), her eight grandchildren, Justin (Breck), Connor and Renee Toole, Jerusha (Cody) Brown, Samantha and Sydni Toole, Madison and Camryn Harper, two great grandchildren, Nash Toole and Austyn Brown. Also surviving is a brother, Ronald (Pat) Kemper.

The funeral will be held on Thursday August 4, 2022 at the Seminary St. location at 2PM with visitation starting at 11AM. Burial will follow in Owenton Cemetery and memorials may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
