Amanda Lou Mcnay

Amanda Lou McNay, age 43, of Owenton passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Care Center, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Amanda was born in Frankfort, KY on July 19, 1979 to the late Theodore "Ted" McNay and Beverly Hensley McNay who survives. She was a 1997 graduate of Owen County High School and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.  Amanda loved her family and being "Mamaw' to her grandson.  She was a huge "Supernatural" fan and recently checked off a bucket list item of meeting part of the cast in Indianapolis. She also enjoyed passing her time texting with friends and playing games.

She will be deeply missed by her mother, Beverly McNay; her sons, Garrett Elliott and Gabe McNay; her grandson she called "Mamaw's baby", Mason Elliott; her siblings, Ray (Lynette) McNay, Joe (Tina) McNay, Jon (Marta) McNay, and Jen (Tim) Jacobs.  She was also the favorite aunt of many nieces and nephews, Brandy, Leslie, McKenna, Justin, Jessica, Haley, Amber, Ray, Aubrey, and Hunter.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 4 - 7 pm.  Funeral services will follow at 7pm with Bro. Dale Adkins and Bro. Dale Griggs presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice.
