Alma "Chubby" Jones Holiday

Alma “Chubby” Holiday, 78, of Cincinnati, and formerly of Owenton, passed away Monday, January 4, 2010 at the home of her daughter. Born October 18, 1931, in Owenton, she was the daughter of the late Flora B. Jones and Dan Washington and was preceded in death 8 siblings. Mrs. Holiday was a member of the Owenton Second Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed music and dancing. She is survived by her son, Billy Clay Holiday of Owenton; three daughters, Peggy Mallory of Cincinnati, Margaret Holiday Crews of Randallstown, MD and Sandra Holiday of Cincinnati. Her sister, Georgia Tolliver of Sparta; four grandchildren Kim, Clay, Courtney and Andrea and one great grandchild Kimya also survive. McDonald & New Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 9th at 1pm at the Owenton Second Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at the church at Noon. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Owenton Second Baptist Church.
