Alice June Osborne

Alice June Osborne, age 82 of Owenton, passed away Friday, May 22, 2015 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. Born February 14, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Charles and Edith Martis Stiver and was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Osborne, her grandson Mark Stiver and her siblings, Janet Beck, Doris Hover and Carl Stiver. Alice was a homemaker and a member of the Lighthouse church. She was also a seamstress and enjoyed babysitting, playing Bingo and collecting ceramic pigs. Surviving are her daughter, Melissa Renfro of Owenton; her sons, Dale Wolfe of Frankfort and Robert Stiver of Louisville; eight grandchildren, Alicia Renfro Glass, Andrew Renfro, Keith Wolfe, Kelli Ratliff, Ashley, Robert, Christopher and Matthew Stiver and nine great grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, David Stiver and Marilyn Lamb as well as her sister in law, Joanne Stiver. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Thursday from 10am until 2pm. Funeral services will follow at 2pm with burial in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
