Alene Sutton Herndon

Alene Sutton Herndon, 91 and a resident of Warsaw, passed away Thursday, September 17th, at the Gallatin Health Care Center in Warsaw. Born August of 1918, she was the daughter of the later Henry and Cora Sisson Sutton. She was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Ray Herndon and a granddaughter, Angela Burns Hoffman. Alene was a homemaker and member of the Warsaw Baptist Church. She is survived by a son: Dennis Herndon of Owenton, three daughters: Tina McAninch of Greenwood, IN., Sherry Moore of Sparta, Linda Geiser of Lynchburg, OH, and one sister: Grace House of Florence, Ky. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, nineteen Great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and several step grandchildren and several step great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20th, from 2 until 5pm at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 21st, at 11am. Rev. Hardin Lowe and Rev. Tim Scott will be officiating. Burial will be in the Jonesville Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Warsaw Baptist Church.
