Adele Bowyer

Adele Bowyer, 96, of Springville, IN and formerly of Covington passed away peacefully at her daughters home, on Thursday June 22, 2017 in Springville, Indiana. She was born in Owen County on October 19, 1920 to the late John and Lula Belle Parker Duvall.  She married Clyde A Bowyer on February 12, 1955 and he preceded her in death in 1990.  Also preceding her in death were her siblings, Grace Stonestreet, Syble Lusby, John P., Elmo, and Maurice Duvall. She was a retired waitress in Cincinnati, Ohio.  She was of the Baptist faith, a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church of Owenton.  In later years, she attended Tunnel Hill Pentecostal Church in Owensburg, IN.She is survived by her daughter, Betty Jean (Lester) West; her grandchildren, Rebekah (Robert) Bartholomew and Katherine (Troy) Rainey; her siblings, Thelma Spaulding and Hugh and Melvin Duvall.  Also surviving are her granddaughter Michelle Sichting and her great-great grandchildren, Braden, Logan, and Amelia. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 11AM until 1PM.  Funeral services will follow at 1pm with Bro. Dallas Lakes officiating.  Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Operation Christmas Child or Toys for Tots.  She will be missed by many.
